Colchester Wado Ryu Karate teaches martial arts that provide all practitioners with improvements to their physical and mental well-being.

Wado Ryu Karate is a holistic activity which is safe, fun and action-packed. Colchester's Club provides courses on self-defence as well as giving fitness training and boosting self-confidence.

Sensei Darren Reynolds who founded the club is a 5th Dan with over 20 years experience in Martial Arts. He was an instructor with English Wado Sports Karate Association then with World & British Federation of Martial Arts before concentrating his energies in Colchester. Colchester Wado Ryu Karate is a proud member of the Ryukyu Association of Karate and Gung Fu and also of Sports Essex.

Wado Ryu is an ideal training for both children and adults. It teaches self-reliance, confidence and how to channel energies in a constructive and healthy way - and what is more it is great fun.

Darren and his Black Belt Instructors teach a variety of martial arts classes including
